Wednesday, Hump Day, 12 days til Christmas

We Wishing My Life Away I am not preaching to anyone but myself. Why do I tend to live for the next event instead of enjoying today?  I say things like, “I’m going to take a quick shower, go to the restroom real quick, run to the store, pay bills real fast…”. You get the drift. I truly don’t know if I ever say, “I’m going to go take a long, hot bath, or go leisurely stroll the mall, take a nap in the hammock, organize the bills and get a budget set.” Why?? Do I…

🖤Be Our Guest🖤

We moved away from family in 2012 and it tore a little piece of my heart. Our oldest granddaughter, Audree was 9 months old at the time and four more sweet granddaughters have been born all stair stepped in age since. When this realization occurs, they will either tear up the picture or they will tear up the person.” Marriage (📷:1985) When we are dating, it is all about impressing each other and an extra effort to make one another happy. We dream of…

The Power of One

The Power of One Making a Difference With Wisdom From Above Living Within Our Means THE POWER OF ONE This past weekend we ran in the Matt Karns Memorial 5k in Schertz, TX to benefit the Baptist Medical System Crisis Fund.  This annual event started 10 years ago after 27 year old, Matt, a passionate Physical Therapist died tragically in a cycle accident.  During his short time on earth, he made a huge difference.  He alone raised 40k for the Baptist Health System Crisis Fund by running a marathon and inspired all those that knew him to get healthy and…
